The One True Keyboard
I’ve finally gotten it.

The IBM Model M 1391401. I love to type on these things. Perhaps that means I will post more. Yeah. I haven’t posted as I’ve been extremely depressed this fall and winter. I doubt I’
m coming out of it now, but who knows.
I’ve been using a keyboard with a Norwegian layout since I moved here in 1999. since they’re better for HTML coding; it’s going to take some time to get used to the US layout again. It’s also going to take some training to get back the strength in my fingers for typing on the model M since I’ve been using toy keyboards for so long.
Anyway, I am pleased. I have wanted one of these for a long time.

I'm a 31 year old American expat living in Oslo, Norway, with my bulldog, Ada, and my husband, Johannes. My interests include interaction design, especially information architecture, philosophy of mind and ethics, cognitive psychology, sociobiology, feminism, yoga, fat acceptance, knitting, pottery, and cooking.
[…] My monitor is the same HP F2304 23″ LCD I’ve been using for the past few years, although it now has to be propped up by the orb Johannes bought me for my birthday a few years back. And, of course, I continue to enjoy using my vintage Model M keyboard. Posted at 14:03 0 Views - No Comments […]
